As mentioned in our post about the April event, Mojaloop Convenings are an opportunity for participants in the project, stakeholders, and those interested in the platform to stay current on advancements and new features.

The next Convening is being held on June 24th to June 27th, 2019 in Arusha, Tanzania, and ModusBox will be there to help, to learn, and to discuss some new community offerings.

Mojaloop SDK by ModusBox

Being part of multiple implementations of Mojaloop at scale, ModusBox gained first-hand knowledge of some of the practical challenges in implementing the platform and DFSP onboarding. From these learnings and to help simplify the process for others in the community, the Mojaloop SDK by ModusBox was born.

The Mojaloop SDK by ModusBox:

  • Reduces complexity in elements around non-repudiation and integrity of the platform
  • Clarifies API specifications to avoid DFSP incompatibilities
  • Offers specification compliant security
  • Offers specification compliant HTTP headers and header processing

At this Convening, ModusBox will be available to talk about the SDK as well as current and future open source and subscription features of the kit.

The SDK can be downloaded from the ModusBox GitHub repository and is also available as a pre-built Docker image.

Connection Manager

In the same spirit as the SDK, ModusBox has undertaken the development of the Connection Manager for Mojaloop. Without the Connection Manager, a financial services provider connecting to the Hub for the first time experiences a time-consuming, highly manual process that can result in configuration errors. ModusBox will be releasing version 1 the Connection Manager to the community in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more release details.

Mojaloop Tech Q&A Booth

ModusBox is committed to the Mojaloop community, and as part of that commitment, we are hosting a Tech Q&A booth at the event. Attendees having challenges with implementation or questions about the platform should stop by the booth and visit with our experts. These ModusBox team members will be happy to share their deep and extensive knowledge of how the Mojaloop platform works and provide insights on what to expect during implementation.

More to Come

We have more exciting tools and release announcements planned in the coming weeks, intended to help the Mojaloop community expand platform adoption and innovation. Keep an eye on our homepage and blog for information. And for those looking for enterprise licensing and support for Mojaloop, we’d be happy to discuss how ModusBox can partner with you.
